This harness is perfect for a BMW E46 1999-2006 with the 1JZGTE VVTi ETCSi engine swap. This harness was developed in house on an actual 1JZ engine to ensure a perfect fit to all engine connections.
BMW E46 1JZ NOTES
- Conversion from stock electronic Drive-By-Wire throttle pedal to cable throttle is REQUIRED
ENGINE: JZS171, JZS161 and JZX110 1JZGTE VVTi ETCSi
- Any VVT-i ETCSi from a Toyota Aristo JZS161, Toyota Crown JZS171 or Toyota Verossa JZX110 with the ETCSi stamp (single butterfly system) and drive by wire.
- Oval Alternator, New Style Starter, and Plastic Coolant & Oil pressure connector supplied by default. If you need different connectors for these please leave a Note / Comment when checking out.
- Standard – VVTi batched ignition (chip and coils) are supplied, but sequential NON VVTi ignition is available as an option.
- For GM/LQ9 coils – upgrade should be used with an aftermarket ECU and run sequentially. OEM ECUs require IGF signal produced by the ignition chip. When the chip is removed for LQ9 coil installation, an aftermarket ECU or IGF simulator box is required.
CHASSIS: BMW E46 1999-2006 USING CABLE THROTTLE CONVERSION ONLY
- BMW E46 1999-2006 including i & ci versions of 316 / 318 / 320 / 323 / 325 / 328 / 330, 330 ZHP & M3
- Factory Speedometer functions by utilizing the ABS system outputs. As long as this system is properly functional, the speedometer will remain accurate.
- Factory Tachometer remains accurate unless number of cylinders changes. Use Dakota Digital SGi-8 if the number of cylinders has changed from factory.
- A/C wiring utilizes stock BMW fuse box AC relay and wiring. The AC compressor connector must be wired to the chassis’ output AC signal wire.
- Retains functional alternator charge display, oil pressure display, coolant temperature display, reverse lights and wipers.
- Factory cooling fans remain functional if that option is selected.
