Wiring Specialties 1JZGTE VVTI Pro Wiring Harness for Mazda RX7 FD3C
$1,024.00
Our Pro-Series is ideal for those looking for the best aesthetics, weight savings and reliability. Completely replace your old harness and forget about electrical gremlins. Dress up your bay and take all the pain out of wiring work with this harness.
This Wiring Specialties PRO Series harness was designed from the ground-up, specifically for a USDM LHD Mazda FD RX7 (93-95) with a 1JZGTE VVTI engine swap. It was developed in house on an actual JDM JZ engine to ensure a perfect fit to all engine sensors.
The harness is designed 'Tucked' for a clean installation. The harnesses are built to exceed OEM spec for wire quality and power/ground routing.
Wiring Specialties offers a number of options for common performance upgrades for this product. Build your perfect harness by selecting from the available options to the right.
Engine: JZZ30 and JZX100 1JZGTE VVTi
- Any VVTI 1JZGTE from Chaser/Mark II
- Any VVTI 1JZGTE from Soarer/Crown
Chassis: LHD USDM FD Mazda RX7
- Any USDM LHD Mazda RX7 manufactured in 1993-1995
- Retains factory speedometer, tachometer, CEL, engine temperature gauge (requires Mazda sensor install), oil pressure sensor (requires Mazda sensor install), alternator charge light, reverse lights and wipers)
1JZ VVTi Specific Details
- Oval alternator connector supplied, unless requested otherwise
- New Style Starter, Spade Coolant and Oil Pressure connector supplied by default for Mazda sensors
- Standard – VVTi batched ignition (chip and coils) are supplied, but sequential NON VVTi ignition is available as an option
- Plug and play features of this harness require the OEM RX7 body harness and fuse boxes to be UNMODIFIED. The harness utilizes the HIGH pressure OEM Mazda fuel pump relay, so it needs to remain on the chassis fuse box, unmodified
- For proper ECT gauge functionality the RX7 ECT sensor must be installed into the coolant elbow on the JZ. This is the 1-wire sending unit, NOT the 2-wire. Harness connection will be provided at the OEM JZ Gauge temp sender location
- For proper Oil Pressure gauge function, the RX7 OEM oil pressure sending unit needs to be used. In most cases a relocation line needs to be used in order to use the Mazda sensor with the swap Harness connection will be provided to reach the passenger side shock tower for sensor relocation
- For accurate Tach and Speedo operation, the frequency modulators SGI5 and SGI8 must be used.
- Mazda Fuse box connectors are integrated into the Wiring Specialties JZ harness and included in the kit. No core needed for a full plug and play install
- Charge cable included in the kit ONLY. Battery cable is not included
- A/C option is available as a custom feature. Please inquire with our sales team about pricing
- For GM/LQ9 coils – upgrade should be used with an aftermarket ECU and run sequentially. OEM ECUs require IGF signal produced by the ignition chip. When the chip is removed for LQ9 coil installation, an aftermarket ECU or IGF simulator box is required
- AEM Infinity and ECU Masters ECUs (and other standalone ECUs) are able to process a wideband signal and are wired DIRECTLY to the ECU. The LSU 4.2 Version of the Wideband SHOULD be used, as per AEM and ECU Masters. Select the Oval or Rectangular connector style in the options. All ECUs that are unable to process a wideband signal directly, will be wired for a FACTORY o2 sensor and a flying lead will be provided to connect the ECU to the Wideband controller (not supplied with the kit)
- For ECUs that do not process a raw wideband signal, a controller must be used. Controllers like a EUGO or the Haltech CAN wideband should be used
- AEM Infinity and ECU Masters are pre-wired for Oil Pressure, Fuel pressure, Oil Temp, IAT and MAP sensor wiring directly to the ECU
- ** Apex’I PFC conversions ONLY include the IAT sensor on the main harness. The MAP sensor is wired separately, from the PFC box directly to the sensor. MAP sensor harness should be purchased with the PFC
