The CWC Billet LSA Alternator kit allows you to fit a 140amp LS1 Alternator ( Pontiac GTO in the US) to your SR20DET RWD. The LS alternator is 140amp vs the 90amp SR20 item, making it perfect for those with big fuel and ignition systems, as the SR20 stock alternator is prone to running out of puff.
The kit comes with CNC billet bracket and pulley, new bolt and nut and it allows complete bolt on. Some wiring looms may require the earth terminal wire to be drilled out slightly, but the main plug goes straight in.

NEW ALTERNATOR BELT 5PK970
INSTRUCTIONS ALTERNATOR REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT BATTERY.
2. DISCONNECT MAIN POWER FEED TO ATLERNATOR
3. REMOVE EARTH WIRE FROM ALTERNATOR (SOME CARS DO NOT HAVE THIS)
4. DISCONNECT SENSE/IDOIT LIGHT PLUG.
5. LOOSEN ALTERNATOR BOTTOM BOLT AND TOP BOLT. DO NOT REMOVE AT THIS TIME.
6. LOOSEN TENSIONER AND REMOVE BELT FROM ALTERNATOR PULLEY
7. REMOVE TOP BOLT FROM ALTERNATOR
8. REMOVE BOTTOM BOLT FROM ALTENATOR
9. REMOVE ALTERNATOR
10. REMOVE FACTORY TENSIONER BRACKET
11. REMOVE INTAKE PLENUM SUPPORT BRACKET BEHIND ALTENATOR
INSTRUCTIONS NEW ALTERNATOR PREP.
1. ON YOUR NEW LS1 ALTERNATOR REMOVE THE ORIGINAL PULLEY
2. FIT THE NEW 5PK PULLEY TO ALTERNATOR
3. The new pulley is a neat fit, if pulley does not slide on DO NOT HIT. Warm pulley with heat gun or hair dryer then slide on.
4. IF YOU CAR HAS SMALL RING TERMINALS M6 THEY WILL NOT FIT ALTERNATOR BATTERY POST.
REMOVE RING TERMINAL AND REPLACE WITH M8 TERMINALS
NOTE. SOME PEOPLE DRILL OUT THE ORIGINAL RING TERMINAL TO FIT, THE CHOICE IS YOURS.
5. USING THE M10 90MM BOLT MOUNT LOWER BRACKET TO ALTERNATOR AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 2
6. USING M10 60MM BOLT WITH M10 FLAT AND SPRING WASHERS BOLT TOP BRACKET TO ALTERNATOR AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 3
INSTRUCTIONS FITTING NEW ALTERNATOR IN CAR
1. PLACE ALTENATOR IN POSITION WITH THE SENSE PLUG FACING AWAY FROM THE ENGINE.
2. FIT NEW LONG M10 BOLT 120mm ON LOWER MOUNTING BRACKET TO ORIGINAL ALTERNATOR MOUNT HOLE AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 4
(DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN AT THIS POINT JUST FIRM SO THERE IS STILL MOVEMENT TO TENSION BELT)
3. SWING ALTERNATOR TOWARD BLOCK AND FIT BELT.
4. NOW FIT TOP MOUNTING BRACKET TO BLOCK USING THE M8 BOLT, SPRING WASHER AND FLAT WASHER AS PER FIGURE 5
5. HAVE ALL BOLTS TIGHEN ENOUGH TO REMOVE PLAY BUT STILL LOOSE ENOUGH TO TENSION BELT.
6.USING A PRY BAR OR YOUR PREFER METHOD ADJUST BELT TESION AND TIGHTEN BOLTS AS PER NISSAN SPEC. THEN TIGHTEN M8 BOLT ON TOP BRACKET
7. GO OVER ALL BOLTS AND CARRYE OUT FINAL TIGHEN
8. FIT NEW M5 BOLT WITH SPRING WASHER AND FLAT WASHER.
9. USING M5 BOLT SECURE EARTH CABLE TO BACK OF ALTERNATOR SEE FIGURE 6
10. SECURE BATTERY CABLE TO ALTERNATOR BATTERY POST WITH NUT SUPPLIED.
11. PLUG SENSE/IDIOT LIGHT BACK IN.
12 CONNECT BATTERY
13. DOUBLE CHECK ALL BOLTS ARE TIGHT.
14. YOUR DONE TIME TO START IT UP.
